Hi! I'm Brigitte Yiting Gong.
I'm a Chinese American filmmaker, photographer, and writer born and raised in California, currently studying Sociology at Northeastern University in Boston.
I've always loved storytelling in its many forms, but ever since seeing Inception at the ripe age of 13, I fell in love with film and haven't looked back. I love its perfect amalgamation of visuals, sound, and storytelling to explore complex stories of people and places both familiar and new, and it is through this medium I hope to continue telling stories that matter to me.
In addition to filmmaking, I also love taking photos of new places and experiences, and I have recently started dipping my toes into writing poetry. I hope to one day write and direct a coming-of-age drama, see more of Europe, and successfully teach myself guitar.
Likes: The Dark Knight, Oxford commas, waking up by sunlight, a deserved happy ending in a movie, and Spotify playlists.
Dislikes: bad framing, insincerity, peanut butter, forgetting an umbrella on rainy days, and people not giving credit where credit is due.
